Our vision is to provide original, pertinent and independent information to drive forward the industry through blogs, interactive debates, news articles, newsletters, social network ing and face-to-face interaction to maintain those all important contacts.
Tidal energy makes sense. Vast resources lie largely untapped. And in contrast with common criticisms of renewable tech - being unreliable and unsightly - tidal is predictable and mostly submerged.
The 2007 Tidal Energy Summit united the very best people in the industry to share knowledge, meet and do business with fellow experts.

Who Are We
A first class International Politics graduate with business experience in consumer electronics, communications and ICT, Abbie endeavours to bring business strategies, approaches and applications to the emerging tidal industry. Tidal Today is recognised as a global leader in conferences, media and information provision to the tidal community.
Abbie is in responsible for the future development of Tidal Today and international opportunities.

Kate is a freelance business and investment editor, and has covered pretty much every business sector there is in her capacity as a private equity and venture capital journalist. From manufacturing to life sciences, she is now taking on renewables after joining the FC Business Intelligence team.
Before becoming Editor of Money Market, a monthly personal investment newspaper distributed across London and major cities in Spain, a position she still holds, she was managing editor of Real Deals, a European venture capital and private equity magazine.
She started her career as a journalist at Euromoney PLC as a business legal reporter.
Her interests include painting, polo and cooking. Her idea of the perfect day is a day at the beach (albeit in hotter climes).

Ben has been with Tidal Today’s holding company FC Business Intelligence since 2008, he is currently head of business development and manages relationships with all our sponsor and exhibiting partners. A graduate with an Entrepreneurship degree, Ben brings a fresh outlook and new ideas to our expanding team.
Ben is a keen explorative traveller having visited countries such as Kazakhstan, Thailand, Mongolia and China in recent years. In his spare time Ben can be found at the gym and is also a keen middle distance runner.

Stevie is in charge of our Client Relations for Tidal Today. She joined from their holding company First Conferences, where she worked for 4 years. Originally from South Africa she is trained in Graphic Design & DTP Operations. She enjoys travelling around Europe and spending quality time with friends and family.
Michael Setters is Managing Director of the Renewable Energy Division at First Conferences and is responsible for overseeing the development of industry news portals and conferences in industries including Wind, Solar (CSP, CPV and Thin Film), Energy Efficiency, Smart Grids, DR & DSM, Wave and Tidal.
Michael enjoys sports (when not recovering from his latest injury!), reading, travelling and spending time with friends.
