Press Release
Energy from the sea for greener growth?
8 November 2011
"To govern is to decide"
Pierre Mendès-France
Climate change neogotiations re-start in Durban at the end of November. Can Europe meet its commitments to reduce greenhouse gases without first ending the economic crisis?
We are living in a world where we need more and more knowledge in all scientific fields, and in particular education in mathematics and history seem neglected.
To participate actively in the challenges of the 21st century, we need to behave differently.
The four round tables of the entretiens Science et Ethique presided over by Professor Michel Ricard invite the sharing of information on research, land management in the context of plans to counter climate change*, the economy, social, and the place of women in these future careers and in the world of science.
Your thoughts will help us better understand the skills needed to reinvest in and improve land management, and the integration of the new industries of marine renewable energies including offshore wind. The main players of the sea sciences sector and coastal land management come together for two days in Brest as every year.
